Luxury Car Rental in Munich

Bavaria’s Capital, Your Starting Point

Trade fairs, Oktoberfest and royal castles, with the Alps just beyond the city.

A Luxury Car for Every Occasion

Munich runs on a rare mix of engineering and elegance. This is BMW’s home city, a place of baroque churches, grand royal avenues and some of Germany’s finest hotels, from the historic Bayerischer Hof on Promenadeplatz to the Rosewood Munich, just steps from Marienplatz. Munich Airport (MUC) lies about 39 km northeast of the center, roughly 35 minutes by car, and the highways toward the Alps and Austria start right at the edge of the city. Veobooker provides luxury car rental in Munich that fits your schedule, whether you’re arriving for business, a festival or a long weekend in Bavaria.

Every visit to Munich has its own purpose, and each one suggests a different car. Trade fairs at Messe München bring visitors from around the world, and the BMW 7 Series is the natural choice for traveling between the exhibition grounds, client dinners and the hotel in quiet comfort. During Oktoberfest, from mid-September into early October, groups often book the Mercedes-Benz GLS 580 or BMW X7 M60i, with room for everyone and their luggage, and for day trips once the festival is over. A shopping day on Maximilianstraße, lined with designer boutiques and home to the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski, is best followed by an evening drive in the Bentley Continental GT. For many visitors, though, the highlight is a road trip. Neuschwanstein Castle is about two hours to the southwest, through Alpine foothills that suit the Audi R8 Performance Spyder or BMW M8 Competition Cabriolet perfectly. Salzburg is around 1 hour 40 minutes along the A8, and the Mercedes-AMG GT 63 or Porsche Panamera 4 makes light work of the highway. On the way, a short detour leads to the Chiemsee and King Ludwig II’s palace on Herrenchiemsee.

City driving in Munich takes a little planning. The historic center inside the Altstadtring is largely pedestrianized around Marienplatz, so it’s best explored on foot once the car is parked. Trams share many central streets, so keep an eye on the tracks. On-street parking is limited and often reserved for residents, so the easiest solution is an underground garage near the Old Town or your hotel’s valet service. At trade-fair time and during Oktoberfest, traffic around the Messe and the Theresienwiese is heavy, so allow extra time or use the beltway. And when the day is done, Munich is one of the few cities where a supercar feels just as much at home outside the opera house as it does on the open Autobahn.
