Luxury Car Rental in Forte dei Marmi
Beach clubs, designer boutiques and the marble peaks of the Apuan Alps, all just a short drive apart.
Summer in Forte dei Marmi revolves around private beach clubs, long lunches by the sea and evening walks past the designer boutiques of the town center. It is the most exclusive resort on the Versilia coast, and the car parked outside your villa is part of the picture. Pisa Airport (PSA) is around 35 minutes away along the A12, while the marble peaks of the Apuan Alps rise just behind the town. Veobooker offers luxury car rental in Forte dei Marmi with pick-up options that work around your stay, whether you’re at the Principe Forte dei Marmi, the Grand Hotel Imperiale or a private house in Roma Imperiale.
There are so many things to do and see in this area. Start early, before the heat, with the Lamborghini Huracan EVO Spyder on the road from Seravezza into the Apuan Alps, where tight bends climb past the marble quarries toward the Garfagnana valley. By late morning it’s time for the beach, and the Range Rover Vogue Autobiography offers enough space for umbrellas and bags. In the evening, the Aston Martin DB12 Volante is made for the drive inland to dinner in the walled city of Lucca, about 40 minutes away, or to the art galleries and marble workshops of Pietrasanta, just a few minutes from the beach. For sunset, few things beat the Bentley Continental GTC or Porsche 911 Turbo S Cabriolet on the coast road toward Viareggio. You can also head north to the Gulf of La Spezia and Portovenere, about an hour away. For a change of scene, Florence is around an hour and a quarter by car, and the Carrara quarries are close enough for a morning visit.
Forte dei Marmi has a few local rules worth knowing. From late June to mid-September, parts of the town center and the Roma Imperiale district become ZTL zones. Their electronic gates operate on certain days and at certain hours, so check the signs before driving in or ask your hotel about access. Blue parking spaces are paid, and yellow ones are reserved. Most luxury hotels and villas have private parking or valet service, which is a real advantage with a high-value car. Bicycles are everywhere in town, especially in summer, so take extra care on the narrow residential streets. On July and August weekends the coast road can be slow, so day trips are best started early. Better still, come in September, when the crowds thin out and the sea is still warm. That is when the drive along the Versilia coast is at its most relaxed.
